Toronto - Reality Check

Yes I am in Toronto.... Back to a city of concrete structures and shopping malls. I reached Toronto this afternoon with my friend and went to the hotel directly. Checked into a most amazing room and am happy about it... Have a living room and a bedroom and 2 washrooms. Still don't understand why. Anyways writing this blog I am gazing out of the window and can see the C&N towers standing tall.... me, Rahul, Dashmeet and Dhanashree went out and had dinner and came back to the rooms and chatted for 5 minutes and then off to sleep everyone.....
unlike Vancouver, Toronto is a typical North American city with more people, buildings and all other stuffs. Wide freeways, fast and angry people. I had big expectations for Toronto and when I saw really whats there I am disappointed. Although I have not explored any of the city the first impression was not what I expected. i expected to see more and more buildings, huge billboards, or at least a huge place... The place is huge but I guess it can never be Newyork or London or Mumbai. I am in my room now looking forward to the interview tomorrow.... rest all in the next blog

Unexpected Recognition

When I was young, the purpose of a phone was to talk to someone and pass on messages or get some updates. Now a day’s phone is much more than that! Right from top of the line cameras to music players to whatever you can think of in a palm sized gadget. With the ever changing technological innovations, it is a must for a person to keep buying new phone to be in sync. What has this got to with recognition? Well, it started with me getting a brand new phone (Samsung Galaxy S8+) in the 1 st week of this year (2018). After so much analysis and deliberations, which my wife can attest to, I got my hands on the beauty and it was an exhilarating experience. Infinity display, telephoto feature, facial recognition, being some of the features. Underlying to the process of buying the phone was me switching cell phone service provider as well. (FIDO to TELUS). Day 1: I am showing it off to my friends/family and unlocking/understanding the various features of the phone. A feeling of ...

Swami Nityananda, Bhagavad Gita & lessons for us.

The word Nityananda literally means "Always Happy" (Nitya - Ananda). Looks like our Swamiji has taken one step ahead and has interpreted the word as "Female- Happy" It is way beyond realisation as to why people do it. Well, I guess that's how it is supposed to be for common man like us ("beyond realisation"). It is very discerning to learn that people who are at the position of intelligence or who preach intelligence and spiritualism set examples like this, there by disposing the very common man of his/her faith in the process. Spiritual process is a way beyond what these godman preach and I am a little dazed to point my finger and say the mistake is in our part. As often said, the person getting cheated is to be blamed, I personally feel that the people who gets entangled into this net is the one to blame.Controversial, but just my thoughts. The article below is an ample evidence for the same. http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/india/Godmans-flock-sign...

Peru - Land of good people and amazing place PART 2

Fourth Day: Cuzco ( http://picasaweb.google.ca/vnmahe/Day4?authkey=apjUHFqNuH8 ) Today (Tuesday Aug 5 th ) was a break day for me. I requested this day to be free, so that I could explore Cuzco on my own and also to visit places which I thought was worth a second visit. I started by visiting the Sun temple Qorikancha again and then visited the adjacent museum. Next stop for me was the ‘Templo y Merced” museum. This little known museum has the world’s second largest pearl placed on 1.3m high solid gold statue. It was amazing. One funny incident that happened was when the guide was showing the group the Pearl, I was scratching my head as to where it was. When they told me it was the second biggest I thought it was something really big. But it turned to be in the shape of a fish and the size of a small stone. Well, anyways the trip was worth it and the entire place was awesome.. There was a place inside the museum where a person in the 16 th century lived for 12 years...
