Toronto here I come

Oct 7th morning 2.20am: I have some time to write my new blog. It has been a hectic week and a tiring one. The course work is killing me and the exams during the next week are going to be awful (I should say it is good looking actually). The only reason I am motivated is because of my friends. I am super happy to get new friends and at the same time get back to the normal way with some of my old friends9 especially the one I care a lot). But, the highlight of the time is I am looking forward to my first trip to Toronto for an interview. I am getting an opportunity to see the largest city in Canada and the financial one too. Having already seen London, New York and Mumbai, Toronto is going to be exciting. The hotel stay is gonna be in Fairmont (phew!!!!!!!! one night’s stay is $397) and the travel is through Air Canada. Although my stay is going to be only for 2 days (36hrs precisely), I want to make it worthwhile. The good thing is that I might as well land up with the job and go there permanently. I am loving it. The downside is that I might have to part with my friends in Vancouver. Guess that’s what they call it life. It moves and puts you in front of new challenges and then asks you to make new friends, new environment and typical things like that…. Either way It is going to be fun.. In the mean time I have 5 more days to spend in Vancouver writing my exams…..

Swami Nityananda, Bhagavad Gita & lessons for us.

The word Nityananda literally means "Always Happy" (Nitya - Ananda). Looks like our Swamiji has taken one step ahead and has interpreted the word as "Female- Happy" It is way beyond realisation as to why people do it. Well, I guess that's how it is supposed to be for common man like us ("beyond realisation"). It is very discerning to learn that people who are at the position of intelligence or who preach intelligence and spiritualism set examples like this, there by disposing the very common man of his/her faith in the process. Spiritual process is a way beyond what these godman preach and I am a little dazed to point my finger and say the mistake is in our part. As often said, the person getting cheated is to be blamed, I personally feel that the people who gets entangled into this net is the one to blame.Controversial, but just my thoughts. The article below is an ample evidence for the same. http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/india/Godmans-flock-sign...

Wikipedia Definition of BLOG: A blog (a portmanteau of web log ) is a website where entries are written in chronological order and commonly displayed in reverse chronological order. "Blog" can also be used as a verb, meaning to maintain or add content to a blog. Blogs provide commentary or news on a particular subject such as food, politics, or local news; some function as more personal online diaries . A typical blog combines text, images, and links to other blogs, web pages, and other media related to its topic. The ability for readers to leave comments in an interactive format is an important part of many blogs. Most blogs are primarily textual, although some focus on art ( artlog ), photographs ( photoblog ), sketchblog , videos ( vlog ), music ( MP3 blog ), audio ( podcasting ) or sexual topics ( Adult blog ), and are part of a wider network of social media . Micro-blogging is another type of blogging which consists of blogs with very short posts. In May 2007,...

Peru - Land of good people and amazing place PART 2

Fourth Day: Cuzco ( http://picasaweb.google.ca/vnmahe/Day4?authkey=apjUHFqNuH8 ) Today (Tuesday Aug 5 th ) was a break day for me. I requested this day to be free, so that I could explore Cuzco on my own and also to visit places which I thought was worth a second visit. I started by visiting the Sun temple Qorikancha again and then visited the adjacent museum. Next stop for me was the ‘Templo y Merced” museum. This little known museum has the world’s second largest pearl placed on 1.3m high solid gold statue. It was amazing. One funny incident that happened was when the guide was showing the group the Pearl, I was scratching my head as to where it was. When they told me it was the second biggest I thought it was something really big. But it turned to be in the shape of a fish and the size of a small stone. Well, anyways the trip was worth it and the entire place was awesome.. There was a place inside the museum where a person in the 16 th century lived for 12 years...
