Unexpected Recognition

When I was young, the purpose of a phone was to talk to someone and pass on messages or get some updates. Now a day’s phone is much more than that! Right from top of the line cameras to music players to whatever you can think of in a palm sized gadget. With the ever changing technological innovations, it is a must for a person to keep buying new phone to be in sync. What has this got to with recognition? Well, it started with me getting a brand new phone (Samsung Galaxy S8+) in the 1 st week of this year (2018). After so much analysis and deliberations, which my wife can attest to, I got my hands on the beauty and it was an exhilarating experience. Infinity display, telephoto feature, facial recognition, being some of the features. Underlying to the process of buying the phone was me switching cell phone service provider as well. (FIDO to TELUS). Day 1: I am showing it off to my friends/family and unlocking/understanding the various features of the phone. A feeling of

How to Find Time

When I started writing in 2007, I always thought it was easy and that I am a natural in writing. Obviously, I was wrong, as I just could not find time . Interestingly, it did not even come across my mind to write something. Anyways, finally here I am, after 7 years, 352 days, trying to write something meaningful. Hence, nothing better than starting off with a topic on how to find time to do anything. Since my last blog, I have become wiser (read it as older) Married with a beautiful/loving/caring wife Manchester United has lost ground on premier league . Obama out and Trump in. (have to include an important historic moment – I am unbiased and leave the readers to their own interpretations) Recognized for helping out (details in upcoming blog) I don’t have time , I am busy is one off the perennial things everyone hates to hear but love to use! The irony is that, TIME was a witness to everything, but it was us who were engaged in something els

Back to blogging

Monday May 3, 2010 : Inspiring idea to write about Bhagavad Gita (Hare Krishna) . .. ... .... ..... ...... ....... Monday April 2, 2018 : Eight years of marriage! Years of being happy (or call it inactive blogger or lazy or busy or whatever…). Now that, I have pipped curiosity (God knows whose), I expect to write an article every week.

Swami Nityananda, Bhagavad Gita & lessons for us.

The word Nityananda literally means "Always Happy" (Nitya - Ananda). Looks like our Swamiji has taken one step ahead and has interpreted the word as "Female- Happy" It is way beyond realisation as to why people do it. Well, I guess that's how it is supposed to be for common man like us ("beyond realisation"). It is very discerning to learn that people who are at the position of intelligence or who preach intelligence and spiritualism set examples like this, there by disposing the very common man of his/her faith in the process. Spiritual process is a way beyond what these godman preach and I am a little dazed to point my finger and say the mistake is in our part. As often said, the person getting cheated is to be blamed, I personally feel that the people who gets entangled into this net is the one to blame.Controversial, but just my thoughts. The article below is an ample evidence for the same. http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/india/Godmans-flock-sign

"Waltz with Bashir" or the Human Mind!

Waltz with Bashir was the movie that blew me away. Waltz with Bashir is a 2008 Israeli animated documentary film written and directed by Ari Folman. The film was conceived as a journey in search of Folman's lost memories from the 1982 Lebanon War. Folman designed the film as an anti-war message (source: Wikipedia). The movie is about the life of a young soldier Ari Folman of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Israel_Defense_Forces), who after participating in the Lebanese War in 1982 as a 19 year old is trying to recover the memories of what happened after 24 years and the effect that has had on him and on his colleagues from the war. The opening shot of the movie shows the dream of a soldier, where a bunch of 26 (yes exactly 26) dogs running around the town and waiting for the soldier to come down from his apartment so that they can kill him. The soldier meet his colleague (Ari Folman) in the bar that night to discuss his nightmares and tells him that,

Peru - Land of good people and amazing place PART 2

Fourth Day: Cuzco ( http://picasaweb.google.ca/vnmahe/Day4?authkey=apjUHFqNuH8 ) Today (Tuesday Aug 5 th ) was a break day for me. I requested this day to be free, so that I could explore Cuzco on my own and also to visit places which I thought was worth a second visit. I started by visiting the Sun temple Qorikancha again and then visited the adjacent museum. Next stop for me was the ‘Templo y Merced” museum. This little known museum has the world’s second largest pearl placed on 1.3m high solid gold statue. It was amazing. One funny incident that happened was when the guide was showing the group the Pearl, I was scratching my head as to where it was. When they told me it was the second biggest I thought it was something really big. But it turned to be in the shape of a fish and the size of a small stone. Well, anyways the trip was worth it and the entire place was awesome.. There was a place inside the museum where a person in the 16 th century lived for 12 years

Peru - Land of good people and amazing place PART 1

This email is to update about my trip to Peru and the good time I had there… J Armed with my new digital SLR camera everything was supposed to be fun…. It was a welcome change for me personally and I honestly enjoyed the entire trip. Peru is a beautiful place and the people over there are extremely good. I made so many friends over there that cannot believe it. The people whom I met and became my friends are in the age range of 6 to 60, from Japan to US, from politically oriented people to backpackers. My trip to was restricted to the Mountain ranges (Cuzco & Puno) and the coast (Lima). I avoided the Amazon area as rabies (vampire Bats) is prevalent there now. First day: ( http://picasaweb.google.com/vnmahe/DayOneCuzoCityTour?authkey=Spiek0RldEw ) I reached Lima on Aug 1 st late night and directly went to Cuzco the next morning. My guide came to pick me up from the airport and too me to my accommodation. It was in a family stay and very close to the Plaza De Arms(Main sq
